Navy Boy Jackson

Nanny.......I love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck!
Sleeping on his quilt.

My Grandma Dot (AKA Nanny) is a Quilting Machine. Most of the women in my family are. Aunt Janet is the one that got them all hooked on it, then the quilting bug spread through the family like wildfire. I think Nanny has made just about everyone a quilt. She does amazing work and each quilt has it's own name that she stitches on to each one. She decided to make a quilt for Jackson. It's red, white, and blue and has Navy emblems all over it. My Auntie Mo did all of the quilting on it, and quilted little stars into the fabric. It's a beautiful quilt. They named it "Navy Boy Jackson" and sewed a name tag on to the back of it. Here are a few pictures of Jackson and his quilt.

I love this. I'll have to tell her what a beautiful job she did on the quilt. I hope she got to see your blog.

Nanny did a great job on that quilt. She loved planning it. We had a few phone call about her choices of fabric. I told her she is great at picking fabric for quilts. It is a treasure. Love ya
