Married Bliss

Celebrating Our 4th Anniversary!
My New Purse.

Every year Brandon and I battle on what to get each other and what to do for our anniversary. Most of the time we just spend the day doing something fun. We skip the buying for each other and usually during our day-o-fun we find something that we both like. Over the years we have collected quite a few little trinkets for our home. This year will be our fourth wedding anniversary, but our fifth year together.

For our first wedding anniversary we went camping. Took a week off of work and drove around the Olympic Peninsula camping as we went. Sol Duc hot springs, Kalaloch, and Lake Quinault were on our journey. We went on hikes, walked the beach, and ate dinner at the Lake Quinault Lodge. It was fantastic.

Our second anniversary was spent on the Seattle waterfront. We took the ferry over from Bremerton. Brandon took me to the Crab Pot for lunch, to the aquarium, and on a horse drawn carriage ride through the city. We watched the sunset on the ferry on the way back to our house. It made for wonderful memories.

We went rock climbing for our third anniversary. There is an awesome rock climbing gym in Bremerton. And since it is one of Brandon's favorite things to do, we strapped on our harnesses and climbed all day. We also went to a pottery studio and painted to our hearts content. Making cool pottery things for our house. We walked the Poulsbo waterfront and had a nice dinner at a restaurant with a great view of the sound.

This year will be the first year that Brandon will not be home. He will unfortunately be gone for our fourth anniversary. And he has to work everyday up until the day he leaves. To make the best of it, we will spend every evening together doing something fun. We want to do something different for dinner every night, and do a different activity. We are calling it Anniversary Date Week. A week is better than a day anyways. We bought each other nice gifts and gave them to each other early of course. I bought Brandon a new pair of running shoes, specially designed for his foot. He runs a lot, so this was a great gift to give. I hid them in the house and made him search to find them. It was more fun for me to watch him look for them I'm sure. But he really loves the shoes. Last night was my turn. I love purses with a passion. So Brandon bought me a new Coach purse that I had my eye on. I love it! We don't normally do the gift thing, but it was really fun for both of us this year. Even though we don't get to spend the actual day together, we made up for it other ways. It will still be great to spend this time together.

I'm sorry you don't get to spend the actual day together, but I love that you are making a week of it!
Enjoy your time together. :) After 34 years, it's still my favorite to spend time together with the love of my life!

4 years already, wow! It seems like just a few days ago when we were standing under the tree watching you and Brandon say your vows. I am still so happy that I got to be apart of your special day!

I love your new purse! And it sounds like you two will have a great time celebrating your anniversary week...I can't wait to hear all about it.
